I’m a 28 year old public school music teacher. I love my job but for the first half of my twenties I was financially surviving. Living paycheck to paycheck, clueless about finances, and stuck in the rat race. When I turned 25, I learned about the Financial Independence movement and got inspired. Since then I paid off 45k in student loan debt in less than 2 years, learned strategies for increasing my earnings and savings, and got my money working for me rather than the other way around. It is now my mission to take what I’ve learned and translate it into actionable steps for millennial teachers.
